Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of QuantumSafe ("the Service"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. The Service

QuantumSafe scans code for cryptographic algorithms that may be vulnerable to quantum computers, scores risk, and suggests NIST-aligned alternatives. It uses automated static analysis (pattern and AST matching).

2. Not professional advice — security disclaimer

The Service is provided for awareness and triage only. It is not a substitute for a professional security or cryptographic audit, and it is not legal, compliance, or security advice. Automated detection is heuristic and may produce false positives and false negatives. You are solely responsible for evaluating and securing your systems. We make no guarantee that the Service will identify all vulnerabilities or that following its recommendations will make any system secure.

3. Accounts

You must provide accurate information, keep your credentials and API keys secure, and are responsible for activity under your account. You must be of legal age to form a binding contract in your jurisdiction (or have a parent/guardian agree on your behalf). Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• scan code or repositories you do not own or lack permission to scan;
• use the Service to violate any law or third-party rights;
• attempt to disrupt, overload, reverse engineer, or gain unauthorized access to the Service;
• resell or redistribute the Service without our written permission.

5. Cost

The Service is provided free of charge. There are no paid plans, and we do not collect payment information.

6. Intellectual property

The Service, including its software, content, and trademarks, is owned by us or our licensors. Code you submit remains yours; you grant us a limited license to process it solely to provide the Service.

7. Disclaimer of warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE", WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR SECURE.

8. Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF DATA, PROFITS, OR SECURITY BREACH, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF (OR INABILITY TO USE) THE SERVICE. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE 3 MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM, OR (B) USD $50.

9. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from claims arising out of your use of the Service or your violation of these Terms.

10. Termination

We may suspend or terminate access for violation of these Terms or to protect the Service. You may stop using the Service at any time.

11. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Disputes will be resolved in the state and federal courts located in New York.

12. Changes

We may update these Terms; material changes will be posted here with a new "Last updated" date. Continued use means you accept the updated Terms.
